Currently there seems to be a lack of Magento online training resources, although some projects, such as the Magento Academy, are in the works for the US.

Modules include a video as well as a text transcript.  To view the videos in whole, you must register with the site, but registration is free.  They also have a paid membership that provides access to additional resources.
